You may be familiar with Creative Action for their awesome after school programs and camps, but did you know that they offer your youngest kiddos the chance to try out creative classes throughout the year? You and your little ones (ages 0-5) can join in on the Parent and Child Music & Movement Classes to help build a creative foundation for your babies, toddlers and preschoolers while you get to make connections with other parents, too!

Creative Action Music & Movement Classes are active and are designed to inspire creativity, encourage physical and emotional development, and support bonding and connection for parents and children. Singing, rhythm making, instrument playing, and multicultural music is explored throughout the class. Classes include multi-sensory play and bring out the individual creativity of both parent and child.

Music and Movement Classes are designed for parents and children to work and learn together while they play, dance, sing and move. All workshops are free with a suggested donation, giving all families the chance to try out these high quality children’s classes. All levels of ability, all cultures, all curious thinkers are welcome! The best part is, you can participate in one, two, or even all of the classes without commitment or obligation. Everyone’s invited to just give it a try.Led by Director of Community Engagement, Stephanie Chavez Noell, and her team, these classes aim to give little ones a place to play, wiggle and develop their creative minds. Stephanie stresses that parents should feel comfortable letting their kids experience the class at their own level of participation. Staff will lead a variety of fun games and movement activities which are not about skill mastery, but more about creative expression, having fun and enjoying an impactful experience together.

Each includes a class at 10 a.m. that wraps up with a family dance party at 11:15 a.m.  Free coffee and snacks are provided before/after each class!
