This weekend is full of dogs performing circus feats, dinosaurs, trains, The Goonies and baseball. There’s a little something for everyone!

Today:

— Have an Evening Under the Oaks with Circus Chickendog at the French Legation Museum at 5:30 pm. There will be trick dogs, a performing parrot, magic, juggling, rope spinning, accordion music, giant bubbles and more. Bring a picnic, blankets and chairs, concessions will be sold. Children 5 and under are free, $5 per person. You can buy online or at the museum.

— See The Goonies for Sunset Cinema on the rooftop plaza of Whole Foods Market Downtown. Bring a blanket, chair, or picnic snack and enjoy this free screening as the sun goes down. Starts at 8 pm.

— Take your tiny to the Baby Play Group at Baby Earth for some socializing from 3:30 – 4:30 pm. The group will sing songs, play with musical instruments and let babies have lots of interactive, social, free-play time. Free!

Tomorrow:

— The Round Rock Express Fan Fest at Dell Diamond is a free day of family friendly entertainment at the ballpark. Activities include a scavenger hunt, behind-the-scenes-tours, the Mustang Owners Club of Austin Car Show and a hot dog eating contest. Fans can also run the bases, hit in the batting cage, clock their fastball and challenge the Fun Zone rock wall and inflatables. Free, 10 am – 2 pm.

— Get up and see children’s favorite rapper, Big Don, perform at Strange Brew for the Free Kids Show! Free, 10 am.

— Dads, take your kiddo to Toybrary Austin and make a guitar out of recycled materials for their Daddy Play Date from 10:30 – 11:30 am. Cost is $10 per father and child. Email [email protected] for any questions or to sign up.

— Parents, have a date night (or take a nap) and let the kids attend Parent’s Night Out at either All Things Kids Georgetown (512-868-2659) or All Things Kids at the Domain (512-490-6770) from 6 – 10 pm. Cost is $5 per child per hour, call to reserve your spot.

Sunday:

Dinosaur Train Live! Buddy’s Big Adventure will perform at the Long Center at 3 pm, much to the delight of every preschooler everywhere. Based off the hit PBS series, Dinosaur Train, this live production is a fun-filled, interactive and immersive experience that goes back in time to an age when dinosaurs roamed the earth… and rode in trains! Tickets are $19 – $39 and can be purchased here.

— This will be your last Sunday to take advantage of the buy one get one admission to Sherwood Forest Faire from 10 am – noon. The faire will be open from 10 am – dusk and features shows, music, puppets, comedy, jousting, robin hood, pirates, games, vendors, food, beer and lots more.  Tickets are $9 – $20, kids under 6 are free, tickets are cheaper when you buy online! The faire will be open next Sunday, but the buy one get one deal will not be offered.

— If you haven’t seen Cat in the Hat yet at ZACH Theatre, you will have two chances! Showing at 2:30 and 4:30 pm, this clever adaptation is a good time for the whole family. Tickets are $22 – $24 and can be purchased here.
