Austin Parks: Red Bud Isle

Red Bud Isle may be more familiar to dog lovers than parents, but the small peninsula offers beautiful views and freedom for all. It is an ideal setting for children to walk their own dog without too much oversight. Red Bud Isle is a wonderful place to see wildlife, from Great Blue Herons and American Coots to squirrels and turtles outwitting the canine crowd.

Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt & Movie in the Park

On Thursday, Apr. 17 starting at 7:15 pm, join the Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department in Old Settlers Park for its annual Flashlight Egg Hunt. Flying Theater Machine Improv Summer Camps at the Hideout Theatre

Looking for a fun summer camp option for your future star? The Hideout Theatre will keep them laughing while they learn at camps that teach the basics of improv, story telling, and stagecraft. The half and full day camps for kids ages 5 – 8, 8 – 13, and high school students offer days filled with games, stories, performance, crafts, and an all around good time before culminating in a performance for friends in family on the final day.

Zach Theatre Presents: Pinocchio

ZACH Theatre presents the ageless classic Pinocchio. Meet Geppetto, a simple carpenter, who dreams of having a son, and Pinocchio, his puppet, who dreams of being a boy. Share in their adventures as Geppetto is swallowed by a whale, then cheer for Pinocchio as he searches for the courage to save him. It’s a wonderful lesson in honesty for those whose noses don’t grow every time they tell a fib, and a lovely tale of what it means to be a family.
