Come out and play all of your favorite old-school video games at the 8th Annual Classic Game Fest at the Palmer Event Center on Saturday, July 25 and Sunday, July 26. Celebrate the biggest retro video game convention in Texas during 2 exciting days of game tournaments, costume contests, freeplay arcades, cash-4-games station, retro game repairs, live video game music, special guests and TONS of classic games, systems and accessories for sale!
Classic Game Fest will be open from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 25 and from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 26. Click here to see the full schedule of activities. Check out some of the event highlights:
- Free Play Games & Consoles: Play classic arcade machines and retro game consoles from the 80s and 90s for free with paid admission.
- Costume Contests: Win prizes at amateur, professional, and best team/mash-up contests open to all ages.
- Classic Video Game Museum: Come see what video games were like “back in the day” with everything from Atari to Xbox.
- Game Tournaments: Score prizes, trophies, and bragging rights at tournaments that will put your skills to the test.
- Entertainment: Enjoy performances from rock bands, chiptune artists, hip-hop performers, and comedy acts.
- Shopping: Buy classic games and consoles available from multiple vendors. Browse unique video game-inspired arts and crafts for sale by local Texas artists.
- Special Guests & Speakers: Meet Richard Garriott, Howard Scot Warshaw, Ernest Cline, Starr Long.
— Admission: A weekend wristband will give you full access to all games, events, tournaments, and concerts on Saturday and Sunday. Wristbands can be purchased at the door for $20 for the whole weekend or $10 for Sunday only. Kids under 12 get in FREE both days but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. A portion of all wristband sales will benefit the Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation.
