Fun Dining Spots

  • The Guest House | It’s an energenetic vibe with excellent food. We tried the chopped kale salad, and the spaghetti pomodoro and loved both
  • Devil May Care | We vote this as Austin’s best mezze platter, and bonus for the cozy dining nooks
  • Uchiba | Uchi’s casual but chic sushi spot. They also have a great vegan/vegetarian menu; the watermelon nagiri is out of this world
  • Patrizi’s Food Truck @ The Vortex | The line is always worth it for this homemade Italian food on their adorable patio.
  • The Powder Room | This speakeasy inside Manny’s is known for it’s craft cocktails and upscale vibe, but they also have incredible bites, like their grilled cheese and tomato soup, and scrumptious fries.

Follow up your FUN dinner with a choice from one of these lists:

Comedy

Dancing

  • Latchkey | They play the music elder Millenials love, but it can get crowded
  • Coconut Club | Beloved LGBTQ+ dance club that’s set to close…but is still open right now, and always a blast
  • Volstead Lounge | Vintage cocktail bar mixed with East Side dive bar…but always good music
  • Barbarella | If you want to remember the glory days of college (read: grimy, sweaty, and always fun)

Live Music

  • Check out the Do512 Calendar for live music here

Karaoke

  • Ego’s | Classic Austin dive bar with Karaoke you’ll wait a long time to perform.  We <3 Ego’s
  • The Common Interest – Karaoke since 1989…this is not a Taylor joke.
  • Karaoke Cab | Just call them – you won’t regret it
  • More Karaoke options from our friends at Do512 here

Spots for Great Cocktails
You’ll also want to check out Do512’s big list of favorite mocktail spots in Austin, here

  • Serenade | This American Brasserie is serving upscale cocktails and mocktails, like their Flamingo Mocktail, a fan favorite that brings a tangy twist to your taste buds.
  • Vinaigrette | Not only is this our favorite spot for incredible, fancy salads, Vinaigrette has a vibrant virgin drink menu. We love the Kale Apple Spritz, with alkalizing kale and apple juice finished with lemon, ginger and seltzer.
  • Roosevelt Room | You’ll want to make a reservation at this upscale cocktail lounge.
  • Desert Door Distillery | Check out their all-new spiritless mocktail menu of sophisticated drinks without the alcohol.
