Get ready to practice your backside rotation at the grand opening of Austin’s first cable wakepark- Quest ATX. To celebrate their opening, Quest ATX is hosting a Crawfish Boil with an open bar on Saturday, May 17 from 2 pm until dark.
While you are grubbing on crawfish there will be live music, a team horseshoe competition, and wakeboard and skateboard mini ramp competitions throughout the day. If you are feeling active, paddle boards and kayaks are available for rent. To take a spin around the lake on a wakeboard or kneeboard, two hour cable passes can be purchased for the more adventurous members of your family for $30.
If you’re wondering what a cable wakepark is… Imagine wakeboarding without the boat. Instead of a boat pulling a wakeboarder behind it, you are pulled on the water via a cable line. Watch this video to see an example.
Entry to the event is free with the purchase of the cable pass, otherwise advanced purchase tickets are $20 and tickets purchased the day of the event are $25. Children 10 and under get in FREE.
