Recycled Reads Holiday Open House

Have you ever been into Recycled Reads? It’s Austin Public Library’s used book store. Discarded books from all of the Austin libraries make their way to this book store along with books and media donations from the community. Then these used items are sold (at very low prices ranging from fifty-cents to $2), and all funds go back to the library.

In addition to being a cool book store, Recycled Reads offers lots of great, free events for the community! On Saturday, Dec. 13 and Sunday, Dec. 14, you can stop in with family from noon – 6 p.m. for their Holiday Open House. Celebrate diverse holiday traditions including programs with string quartets, ballet folklorico, mariachis, Dreidel-making, Kwanzaa, elves and more.
