Music for Wilderness Lake at Laguna Gloria

Experience twelve trombonists positioned around the lagoon playing meditative music written by Canadian composer and sound theorist R. Murray Schafer. Music for Wilderness Lake is piece of environmental music explores the natural soundscape present at sunset and sunrise. They will be playing alongside Orly Genger’s beautiful outdoor sculptural work.

Children’s Day Art Park

For a whopping 50 cents per child families can expereince local musicians, storytellers, dancers, magicians, mimes and craftspeople. Kids can try their hands at art projects under the Art Tent, experience Ballet Folklorico and Latin Jazz, talk to members of the symphony, and hear them play their instruments.

Parent and Child Music Class with Neal Kassanoff

Parent & Child Music Class now enrolling. Ten-week session with local musician, Neal Kassanoff. Parents with infants and older kids are encouraged to sign up. The ten-week sessions begins on January 24 at 9:30 am. Space in each 45 minute class is limited to 10 to 12 children. The cost for the session is $150–that’s $15 per class, which is awesome.
