It’s that time to gather in the streets, parks, thrift stores and coffee shops to hear brass bands, marching bands and European Klezmer and Balkan music. HONK! TX is back! The free, community-driven festival is bringing more than 30 bands to venues throughout SoCo, Adams Park/Hemphill Park neighborhood and East Austin so that we all can get down to their fun music this weekend, Mar. 21 – 23.
Chances are, your younger kids love the hit PBS series, Dinosaur Train, the show about a T-Rex living in a nest with a Pteranodon family. You know the song…. “Dinosaur Traiiiin (woo woo)!” Well now you can tell the kids that they have a chance to see Dinosaur Train Live! Buddy’s Big Adventure at the Long Center on Sunday, Mar. 23 at 3 pm!
Semillitas de Español provides parents and children with fun classes that teach Spanish experientially, through playing, making music, group activities, conversations, art, dramatic play and more. All week, they are offering FREE demo classes of their CANTA program in various locations.

The Woodland Faerie Trail at Zilker Botanical Gardens features faerie homes and gardens created by gardeners, architects and others. Their creations are now on display through May 26, and Friday, Mar. 14, you can see them at night at the Faeries by Starlight event from 7 – 9 pm.
Get your kid-friendly music fix this week at the SX Kids Shows at The Little Yoga House happening every day this week from 1 – 2 pm.
Head to Kaleidoscope Toys this week for Spring Break Activities for the family. There will be a reptile show, crafts, cooking classes and more!
