Theatre is so magical, and Zach Scott’s production of Pinocchio is nothing short of that. I was happy to chat with Natt Miller, Zach Scott Theatre’s Educational Director, briefly during the rehearsal and give him my feedback on the show. He was gracious enough to respond to several follow-up questions about the elements of the production that I found most magical.

ZACH Theatre presents the ageless classic Pinocchio. Meet Geppetto, a simple carpenter, who dreams of having a son, and Pinocchio, his puppet, who dreams of being a boy. Share in their adventures as Geppetto is swallowed by a whale, then cheer for Pinocchio as he searches for the courage to save him. It’s a wonderful lesson in honesty for those whose noses don’t grow every time they tell a fib, and a lovely tale of what it means to be a family.

This Sunday, Jan. 26, head over to the Palmer Events Center for the FREE Austin Family Presents: Summer Camp Fair from 12 – 4 pm. Reps from more than 100 camps around Austin and throughout the state will be on hand amidst live entertainment, face painting, snowboarding and a bounce house. Parents can chat with camp owners and counselors while the kids romp around, and might even win one of 18 camp giveaways.

ZACH Theatre presents a kid-friendly version of the 1980s Broadway hit, Into the Woods, appropriately calling it Into the Woods Jr. Showtimes are at 2 and 7 pm on both Friday, August 16, and Saturday, August 17. Tickets are $10 for kids and $12 for adults.
