If your little artists want to try something new, head to the Laguna Gloria on Saturday, Sept. 13 where they can build a light sculpture! Every second Saturday of the month, The Contemporary Austin at Laguna Gloria offers hands-on art-making workshops for children ages 2 – 11. Drop in and create anytime between 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

On Saturday, kids can build a glowing sculpture using ordinary materials, inspired by artist Ursula von Rydingsvard’s sculpture, Luna, which you can view in the Betty and Edward Marcus Sculpture Park at Laguna Gloria.

Costs:

  • $10 per family
  • $5 for museum members
