This annual occasion gives us the chance to explore exhibits with plenty of special family-friendly activities throughout the day. Where to take the kids on Austin Museum Day

Laguna Gloria 
Special activities from 12:30 pm – 2 pm

Celebrate Austin Museum Day at Laguna Gloria with free family fun on Sunday, September 21. Kids can design their own dye-it-yourself bandana, connect with Austin Youth River Watch, and join playful, sculpture-inspired yoga sessions led by Amber Byfield of Wisdom at Play at 12:30 pm and 2 pm. Celebrate Austin Museum Day at the Neill-Cochran House Museum on Sunday, September 21, with free admission from 11 am – 4 pm. Families can tour one of Austin’s oldest historic homes, enjoy art activities, living history, live music, lawn games, sweet treats, and more fun on the lawn. LBJ Presidential Library & Museum
Special activities from 9:30 am – 3 pm 

Celebrate Austin Museum Day at the LBJ Presidential Library on Sunday, September 21, with free admission and family fun. Kids can enjoy bilingual (English & Spanish) story time, hands-on arts and crafts, and activities highlighting Hispanic cultures.
