One of the things we’ve really missed during the pandemic is the free, annual summer musical in Zilker Park. In fact, this is the first time in over 60 years that local nonprofit, Zilker Theatre Productions, has not been able to share this Austin tradition with the community. The big Broadway hit Mamma Mia! was slated for the hillside stage in 2020 but is instead postponed to next summer.

This week would have been Zilker Theatre Productions’ closing weekend for the show, in which Ausintines of all ages would have been singing along to the all the ABBA hits in the park.
