Maybe you’re not quite as graceful as a ballerina in the Austin Ballet. No problem. Maybe your moves are far more creative than any sugar plum fairy has ever dreamed of. Well, you are in luck, my friend. On Saturday, Nov. 29, you and your sweet dancing feet can join the fun in Invincible Czars 11th Annual Dance-It-Yourself Nutcracker at 2 p.m. at the Museum of Human Achievement.

Austin’s Invincible Czars pack all the fun, hilarity and musicality they can into this event. With props and fun lighting, the band leads kids young and old through their whimsical version of Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite,” dancing all the way.

If you’re tired of the same old holiday songs, this show is for you! Audience members are encouraged to dress for success, with prizes going to the best holiday outfit/costume/props (boy, girl and adult).

Tickets will also be available at the door, but advance ticket holders get a free CD of their choice at the show. Admission is on a “pay what you can” sliding scale from $5-20. You can purchase your tickets in advance online here.

Where is the Museum of Human Achievement? The exact location will be provided once tickets are purchased. But you can get specific information by calling call 512-656-0357 or emailing [email protected]. (The organizers note, “Don’t fear – it’s a cool spot with lots of parking, donation bar nearby food and some truly cool art.”)

Have fun!
