On Saturday, August 5, you can watch 17,000 yellow rubber ducks float down Lady Bird Lake for a wonderful cause. Join the 4th Annual Austin Duck Derby presented by Austin Sonic Drive-Ins to benefit Boys and Girls Clubs Foundation. The family-friendly festival will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with food, music and activities in the parking lot near the Austin American-Statesman. Eco-friendly “adopted” rubber ducks will be launched into the water from the Ann Richards Bridge on Congress Avenue at 11:30 a.m. These ducks will race to the finish line, and lucky winners will receive exciting prizes.
