On Thursday, Oct. 30, you’re invited to take the whole family to Central Market North Lamar from 6-8 p.m. for the Creative Action’s Kids Ball with treats, kid-friendly activities and dancing! Families can build their own costumes at this free event, watch an original dance created by Creative Action students and Teaching Artists, and dance and groove to the music of Austin’s White Ghost Shivers.
Creative Action offers interactive performances in classrooms, after school enrichment programs and a variety of community events to the Central Texas area. Creative Action’s team of Teaching Artists aim to inspire youth to be creative artists, courageous allies, critical thinkers, and confident leaders in their community.
Activities at the Kids Ball:
- Share your fortunes by decorating a crown with things you hold dear to your heart.
- Transform into your favorite hero by creating a bold mask.
- Spread your kindness by designing your own magical and powerful wand.
- Showcase your artistic talents by designing your own treat bag.
- Showcase your costume creations in a costume march.
- Find the sneaky troll and enjoy some “troll” mix!
- Treat yourself to dancing and grooving to Austin favorite, White Ghost Shivers
