National Video Games Day isn’t until September, but our kids never need an excuse to hit the arcade. Here are some ideas on where to play video games, skeeball, pinball, and sometimes even go-karts around ATX. Enjoy the air conditioning of these indoor gaming spaces during our Austin summers and a fun escape on rainy, cold days in the winter…or any time, really.

More ideas:
- Dart’em Up: While the big fun here is the foam dart arena, they do have a little game room to play in as well.
- Punch Bowl Social: Restaurant, bar, bowling, karaoke, and more — Punch Bowl offers plenty of room to play around and also includes some arcade games and a VR experience, too.
- Ski Shores: Part cafe, part lake hangout, Ski Shores also has a fun little game room.
- Arcade UFO: Austin’s premiere Japanese-style game center
- Bowling Alleys: While we can’t be sure every bowling alley in the area has arcade games, it’s safe to bet that most do.
