Before you dive into that big box of chocolates this Valentine’s Day, why not pair up with your sweetie and fit in some exercise at the 9th Annual Paramount Break-a-Leg 5K? This 5K is open to adult and youth runners and takes place on Sunday, February 14 at 7:30 a.m. in conjunction with the Austin Marathon and Half Marathon®. Your participation in this race supports the historic Paramount & Stateside Theatres!
— Registration: Adult registration is $32 and youth registration (ages 16 & under) is $15. (Take note that prices increase by a few dollars on Friday, February 12.) Each participant with receive a race t-shirt and other great items. Click here to register.
The Paramount Break-a-Leg 5K starts at 11th and Congress Avenue and ends near the entrance of the 100-year-old Paramount Theatre.
Runners are encouraged to dress up as their favorite performer from the Paramount (actress, actor, musician, usher etc.) for a chance to win some cool prizes. Also, runners will be welcome to stop into the Paramount Theatre lobby from 5:45 – 10 a.m. for pre- and post-race coffee and hot chocolate.
