While we can’t actually swim in our beloved Barton Springs Pool or take a stroll through the Zilker Botanical Garden at this time, Austin Parks and Recreation Department has offered up a fun way for us to imagine ourselves in these settings. Their Programs Division has created a series of coloring pages featuring favorite Austin parks. All you’ll need is a printer, crayons or colored pencils for this at-home activity. And why not try to add in a little drawing of yourself in these scenes, too?

The Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) has developed a variety of digital activities to keep Austin learning, playing, and connecting with such programming as exercise videos for kids and adults, virtual exhibits, arts and crafts ideas, and programs for seniors. PARD will regularly add new programs to their webpage while stay-at-home orders are in place.

These free virtual experiences can be found at www.austintexas.gov/parkprograms.
