15 Austin Restaurants with Unique & Healthy Kids’ Meals

Austin Daily Press
1900 East Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard #B
Tortas, tacos, tapas, nachos, panini – yum! We love the variety at Austin Daily Press, and they’ve got options for all, whether you’re gluten-free or vegan, or more of an omnivore. Kids can choose from options like pork belly, veggie chorizo, avocado grilled cheese, or even pick from the classic tortas menu.  Menu

Casa de Luz
1701 Toomey Rd.
We couldn’t write a list of healthy options without mentioning Austin’s favorite, Casa de Luz. Here you’ll find a daily selection of plant-based, organic, and wholesome soups, salads, and meals to nourish the body. Plus, the kid’s prices here can’t be beaten. Free for kids ages 0- 3; $7 for kids 4 – 10.  Menu

Easy Tiger
Three Locations Here
Our kids are very into the menu at local favorite, Easy Tiger, for the hot pretzels and housemade sausages. There are also cheese plates, sandwiches, soups, and salads, not to mention baked goods.  They also have lots of kid-friendly events and live music.  Menu

Fresa’s
Two Locations Here
We love the grilled veggies, salads, and homemade tortillas at Fresa’s. Kids can choose from affordably priced tacos or a kid’s bowl with black beans, white rice, avocado, sweet potato, and queso Monterey. Menu

Kome Sushi Kitchen
5301 Airport Blvd #100
This trendy spot has been more of a date-night destination for us than a place to take the kiddos, but we recently popped in with the fam and were delighted by their kid’s menu! Known for their home-style Japanese meals and sushi, kids can pick from a few options including ramen and sushi for only $6. Menu

Flower Child
Multiple locations here
Stop into this fast-casual spot at The Domain, downtown, or Westlake, where you can build your plate of healthy selections for $8.50 for kids 12 and under. Kids pick a protein (tofu, chicken, or steak), then add a delicious side like sweet corn and quinoa or organic smashed potatoes. Note: If you go to The Domain location, you can let the kids run around the Northside Lawn that’s just around the corner. Menu

Kerbey Lane
At Kerbey Lane, Kids Eat Free Monday through Friday after 4 pm through June 28. This offer is valid at all Kerbey Lane locations with the purchase of an adult entree. Kerbey Lane has been serving families for more than 40 years with locally sourced, freshly made food.  Sure, you can indulge in their chocolate chip pancakes, but they also have lots of healthy kids’ options like the Jr. Breakfast Platter where you can opt for an egg, toast, and fruit.

Modern Market
Three Austin Locations Here
We love that kids have a build-your-own salad option at Modern Market, along with other choices like grilled tomato and cheese or a chicken plate with mashed potatoes.  Another perk?  Kids eat free with the purchase of an adult entree on Sundays and Mondays (5 pm to close).  Menu

Oz Tap House
10601 Ranch Rd 2222 Suite H
This family-friendly beer garden will appeal to both parents and kids. Got a kiddo who prefers to graze than dig into a full meal? Check out Bella’s Charcuterie Jr. which includes pretzel, ham, white cheddar, pickles, carrots, apples, grapes, and cheese sauce. Or opt for a chicken burger or grilled chicken strips. Menu

Patrizi’s
Two Locations Here
While they don’t have a dedicated children’s menu, we’re confident their fresh ingredients, hand-pulled pasta, salad, and sides will hit the nutritional spot.  The portion sizes are reasonable (and affordable) and pasta has protein in it, so who says it can’t be on the healthy list?  Not us!  Plus, Patrizi’s on Manor has covered outdoor seating space and is an Austin gem (and shock – a food truck!) we’d recommend taking family or out-of-town guests for that special Austin vibe.

Punch Bowl Social
Two Austin Locations Here
With plenty of games and bowling (and even indoor mini-golf at The Domain location), Punch Bowl Social is a fun place for all ages. Their kids’ menu includes selections like chicken tacos, hummus & celery, and a banana almond butter sandwich. Menu

Tarka Indian Kitchen
Austin Locations
Tarka take-out is in regular rotation in our family.  Tarka is loved as much by the kids as the grown-ups, and they have several convenient locations around Austin.  Kids can choose from a tikka masala curry bowl, or chicken or lamb kabob served with rice. Don’t forget the mango lemonade — yum! Menu

— The Grove Wine Bar + Kitchen
Various Locations Here
An excellent variety of food and a cozy ambiance makes The Grove Wine Bar + Kitchen a great casual-upscale restaurant for families.  Check out their excellent kids’ menu with meals from $5-6.

—  True Food Kitchen
Two Austin Locations Here
We love that True Food Kitchen has options for all dietary needs – vegan, keto, paleo, and gluten-free. But they also have great choices for the little ones such as a chicken teriyaki bowl and an almond butter, banana & apple sandwich. Visit them at The Domain or downtown.  Menu

Oasthouse Kitchen + Bar
Two Austin Locations Here
Oasthouse has a delicious menu and provides a great casual vibe for families. For $6, kids can dine on brunch, lunch, or dinner items like a Nutella and strawberry sandwich, cheese flatbread, or pasta.  An awesome bonus is that Oasthouse’s North Location shares a huge playground.  You can sit on their outdoor dining deck and watch the kids play.  Menu
