An extra day off might mean sleeping in and lazing around the house without a care. But for those of you eager to get out and do something special, we’ve rounded up a list of ideas for family activities on Labor Day Weekend. No matter what you choose, go have a great time and enjoy your extra day of play!

What To Do Over Labor Day Weekend:

— Head south to the annual Kyle Pie in the Sky Hot Air Balloon Festival on Friday, Saturday and Sunday where over 25 hot air balloons will illuminate the sky with a evening balloon glows and morning flights. Kyle happens to be the “Pie Capital of Texas” so you can count on a variety of sweet and savory pies for sale. You’ll also be able to enjoy a kid zone, vendors, live music from Mike and the Moonpies and other local bands, too. Kids ages 10 & under are free! Click here for the schedule of events and ticket info.

Use a smartphone as you set off to explore the Mill’s exhibits to gather clues. All weekend long, Saturday – Monday. Free with regular admission: $8.50 for kids, $10 for adults.
