Your littlest park-lovers can make a difference for Austin’s green spaces! The Austin Parks Foundation has recently launched the Little Hummingbird Society, a monthly giving program that helps kids learn about the importance of supporting Austin’s parks, trails and playgrounds. For $10 per month to join, your child will receive a seasonal activity kit in the mail, invites to special children’s events and exclusive Little Hummingbird Society gear.

Austin has no shortage of really great parks that offer up hours and hours of free family fun. We’re so grateful for the work facilitated by Austin Parks Foundation to maintain and improve our parkland as well as offer creative fun programming for the community, such as their Moves in the Park series. Through donations and volunteer hours from the community, APF has been able to make a huge impact on our area’s outdoor play places since 1992. With membership in the Little Hummingbird Society, your child can learn the benefits of volunteerism and advocacy at an early age.

How to Join Little Hummingbirds Society: Simply visit the Give to the Parks page of the APF’s website. You can sign up to make a tax-deductible donation of $10 per month. If you wish to add another child, you can add a $5/month membership per sibling so that each child in your home can get their activity kit in the mail.
