Pull in to Blue Starlite Mini-Urban Drive-In this Saturday, May 24 at 8:45 pm for The Never Ending Story and The Princess Bride back to back. Doors open at 7:45 pm. This awesome double feature is sure to jump start your imagination just in time for summer. These classics are great for kids, modern day & 80s babies alike. Planet Music: Free Concert and Dance Lesson

Join the 1001 Nights Orchestra, Ravaan Persian Dancers and the Austin International Folk Dancers for a Middle Eastern-themed edition of Planet Music on Friday, May 23 at 7 pm at the Dougherty Arts Center.

TEMPO – Art in Public Places

It’s not like you really need any extra reasons to go to a park, especially if you have kids who bounce off the walls when they’re cooped up inside. But until the end of July, the city of Austin’s TEMPO – Art in Public Places program is a great excuse to check out some spots you may not have been to before. Each of these parks features an outdoor sculpture you can check out for free.

Jester King Brewery & Stanley’s Farmhouse Pizza

We have had amazing weather these past few weeks- patio season is definitely here! One of our favorite things to do on the weekend when the weather is nice is to drive out to the Jester King Brewery, located roughly 20 miles southwest of downtown Austin. This farmhouse brewery uses locally grown grains and native wild yeast to create an impressive array of beers that are uniquely Texas.

Then shed your plainclothes, don your superhero gear and fly on over to the Austin Comic and Toy Show on Saturday, May 25 from 9 am – 5 pm at the Norris Conference Center!

Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival

Still looking for the perfect plan for Memorial Day weekend? Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival runs Friday May 23 through Sunday May 25 at MarktPlatz. For the grown folks there is live music & dancing. For the kiddos there is a climbing wall, bumper boats and even a human hamster ball! All generations can enjoy crawfish and Gator Country shows. Those are real gators, folks!
