— Travel the Water by Kayak or Paddle Board
For a fun way to get a little bit of exercise while you’re enjoying the lake, you can rent a kayak, paddle board, or pedal kayak. Austin Pedal Kayaks in Lakeway is a one-stop shop for rentals and offers plenty of amazing water to explore and swim in.

— Go Fishing, Hiking, or Camping at Pace Bend Park
The silent oasis of Pace Bend Park is only 37 miles away and about an hour’s drive. In far western Travis County tucked into the Texas Hill Country, the park offers 9 miles of Lake Travis shoreline. The warm sunrises and sunsets over the lake color the sky with pastel shades. With rocky limestone cliffs and several rocky coves, there is a wide range of activities to be explored. Zip across the beautiful lake for adrenaline-filled thrills and chills. — Rent a Boat and Cruise the Water
Experience the clear, calming waters of Lake Travis from a boat. Cruise in style on a luxurious charter, a party boat for a big group, or a small powerboat for the family. There are many boat rentals to choose from such as VIP Marina, Just for Fun Watercraft Rentals, Lake Travis Yacht Rentals, and Float On Boat Rentals, to name just a few.

—  Try an Obstacle Course on the Water
Much like a “ninja warrior course” on the water, Lake Travis Waterloo Adventures is a floating water park with climbing walls, monkey bars, slides, bridges, and more. (Please note: this activity is for ages 7+ and 45 inches tall). You’ll access this private resort-style beach and aqua park by a boat ride to and from Adventure Island. — Picnic at Lakeway City Park
Lakeway City Park is a waterfront parkland that’s fun for fishing, swimming, kayaking, and enjoying a picnic with pretty views. With nearly two miles of paved trails, there is plenty of room for leisurely walks or bike rides. You can put your toes in the sand and take a dip in the designated swim areas (note that there are no lifeguards on duty).

Volente Beach Water Park offers a wide range of kid-friendly and exciting activities, including a pirate-themed play area, a fun obstacle course, a thrilling water ride, and more. The Oasis is a 30,000-square-foot restaurant that provides astonishingly breathtaking views of Lake Travis for that perfect Instagram opportunity. The venue is so large that it’s nicknamed The Sunset Capital of Texas and for good reason. The sunset against the brightly colored umbrellas of The Oasis is nothing short of magnificent and not to be missed. Beyond the original restaurant, this complex is also home to many restaurants and shops, including the Oasis Texas Brewing Company on the third floor where you can enjoy flights of their craft beers, snack on some great pub food, and listen to live music, relax around their rooftop fire, and enjoy a beautiful Lake Travis sunset.

The Lower Colorado River Authority and Travis County Parks operate 15 parks on the lake. Several offer campgrounds, beaches, picnic areas, boat ramps, and great spots for fishing. (Entrance and/or launch fees are charged at some parks).
