The hills of Central Texas are alive with the sound of music! We are so excited that ZACH Theatre‘s big summer production is the beloved classic, The Sound of Music. The show will run through July 24, but we highly suggest getting tickets now for the best pick of seats!

This show features a modern re-imagining of this favorite musical. Of course you can count on the Von Trapp family’s adorable children, the abbey of lovable nuns, and the oh-so joyful Maria lifting our spirits with tunes we know and love such as “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Climb Every Mountain,” and more!

You can reserve your seats in the theater’s traditional stadium-style seating or at a “Biergarten Table”.

Our team had a chance to see the show during opening weekend, and we really enjoyed it! You will be so impressed by these vocalists. What amazing talent among the entire cast. We could not believe that almost every actor in the show was also playing an instrument as well. We’re sure your kiddos will love seeing that aspect since the musicians perform in view, too. The staging was very unique, and it provided such a personal way to engage with the actors and enjoy a close-up look at their connection to each other. The actors who play Maria and Captain Von Trapp are outstanding. The Mother Abbess was better than any we could imagine. But those adorable Von Trapp children — they really stole the show!

If you choose seating in the “Beirgarten”, you will find yourselves on stage at a long table, which really puts you in a very intimate experience with the actors and storyline. All are invited for some dancing and singing before the show, so be sure to arrive early for extra fun!
