Take a minute to swing by GloWave, an installation by Melissa Borrell that will be on display at Little Stacey Park until June 9. The opening reception will be Saturday, May 10 from 7 – 9 pm, but you’re free to swing by at dusk and early nightfall to see it for yourself.

Treevolution is an installation that is up at South Austin Park. It is a cheerful exhibit with an important message: irresponsible development can lead to loss of natural green spaces. Artist Amy Scofield used pvc pipe, orange safety netting that you see at construction sites and other recycled materials to help get her message across. Take the kids and inspire our potential future lawmakers and officials that our green spaces are important!

Ink Tank is having a Yard Sale! Ink Tank is an artist collective that makes objects and conceptual environments. They try to create an experience as opposed to a relic, and they’re looking to get rid of their stuff! Items to be sold include posters, sculptures, functional and aesthetic objects, apparel, oeuvres and so much more. They’ll take cash or trade and no reasonable offer will be refused. Might be a fun spot to pick up some oddities. Starts Saturday, May 10 at 7:30 am.

— Swing by the Umlauf Sculpture Garden to see the many sculptures on display in their beautiful setting.

Have fun!
