— April 11 |  National Pet Day |  We’re all about it if you want to carry your parrot, cat, or ferret around in one of those cute backpacks, but we don’t have an article to share on that (yet), so here’s Your Dog-Friendly Guide to Austin
— April 12 |  Grilled Cheese Sandwich Day | Ah, the ultimate comfort food.  Here’s where to find The Best Grilled Cheese in Austin, cause it’s always more delicious when someone else makes it for ya.
— April 15 | Record Store Day| Our Friends at Do512 made a roundup of local record stores here!— April 17 – Bat Appreciation Day | Have you done a bat cruise?  Well get ready, cause here’s your (na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na Bat Guide) Guide To Seeing Bats in Austin
— April 22 – Earth Day | Volunteer at Keep Austin Beautiful Day.
— April 23 – Movie Theatre Day | Half-priced movies on Tuesdays at Alamo?  Yes, please.  Also, have you had their grilled cheese?  That’s how you hit two fake holidays in one stop, friends.  Movie House Eatery also has half-price tickets on Tuesdays and again, you can eat there and skip doing dishes.
— April 26 – Arbor Day | Well…Arbor Day is celebrated in November in Texas because it’s typically too warm to plant trees here in April.  But when you’re ready to plant, did you know you can get a free tree from NeighborWoods?
— April 27 – Eeyore’s Birthday | This event is back and celebrating Eeyore’s 59th!  More details here.
— April 30 – Adopt a Shelter Pet Day |  It’s always a good day to adopt a shelter pet, and you can check out our guide here.  This year, Austin Animal Shelter is waiving all adoption fees on April 30!
