One of our favorite summer traditions in Austin is the annual Zilker Theater Production, and this year is Roald Dahl’s Matilda the Musical.
You know the movie and the amazing little girl named Matilda Wormwood who changes her destiny with fortitude, astonishing wit, and yes, telekinetic powers. Beginning July 7, she’ll come to life onstage at Zilker Hillside Theater. Now in its 64th year, Zilker Theater Productions offers free, high-quality programming for the community and you won’t want to miss out on the fantastic world of Matilda at this summer’s performance.

But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the school pupils’ saving grace!
Packed with high-energy dance numbers and catchy songs, Matilda is a joyous romp. Children and adults alike will be thrilled by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination.
